I was wondering if a 480 ignition system and flywheel and starter would work on a 2100 Husky? Is the timing going to be close, I know they are adjustable but dont know what the timing differences are on the two saws. The 480 module is a SEM vintage 1979

Depends on the age of the two saws.....Assuming they both have the late SEM ignition, the ignition itself is the same. Not sure about using the 480 recoil and flywheel.

There were earlier SEM as well as FEMSA ignitions too, so it's "apples and oranges" sometimes.

480/2100

I bought 2 480 part saws just because one of them had a sem ignition module in it. It was a good one and seems to work fine on my 2100
I however did not use the 480 flywheel or recoil, as it was pretty nasty and only has 2 dogs on the flywheel.
I just about have what I need to put together a 480 from the parts that were left. The coils are going for $100.00 or so on the E-bay.
