A farmer friend of our passed away this summer and the estate is having an auction on Tuesday, September 7 in Eastman, Wisconsin (just north of Prairie du Chien, south east Wisconsin).

They will be auctioning a couple of things members here might be interested in:

1. an old 2 man chainsaw
2. a 3-pt. splitter
3. Skid Steer
4. a neat old bobsled that might work out for hauling logs in winter.

There is also an OWB not listed but might be available.

Here's the full auction listing: http://www.auctionzip.com/Listings/939356.html

and some photos including the items I listed above, shown here: http://www.auctionzip.com/cgi-bin/photopanel.cgi?listingid=939356&category=0&zip=&kwd=

I hope I'm not violating any rules by posting this sale, just thought a few of you might be interested in the couple of items I listed above.

Hubby & I might be there so send a pm if you want to meet up at the auction.

Not sure of the manufacturer or the model, but it appears to be an early 1 man saw with a helper handle. That saw is probably from the early to mid fifties. From where I'm stting that looks to be a $25 to $50 saw if it is complete and unstuck. Of course who knows? It could be a really rare hard to find, only made one year, very regional, etc. But if you are thinking about buying it for your self I'd stay in that range. Being at an auction though it might go up to $100. Please report back if you happen to catch what it goes for.
Thank you,
Marty
