I have an old heat exchanger that is 3/4 fittings. my whole system is 1" from my owb. I am thinking of putting that in my breezway for some heat and I have a couple of questions
1. Do i need to lay the exchanger flat?

2. will the 1/4 in reduction hurt the flow?

Thank you

No, it shouldn't have to be laid flat, they should work flat or upright.

The 3/4" shouldn't hurt you too much if you're just heating the breezeway with it, you should get enough flow through that 3/4 to heat a small space like that.

Good Luck!

Thanks for the information. Its one of thoes things you know the answer but just need some backup.....:hmm3grin2orange:

Well the hx is crap and leaked. I know I can buy another but would there be a better way to heat it?
