Help with Fire Cheif 1100 and ducting

We need some help we are install a Fire Cheif 110 in our basement , there is no duct work at this time. Question do we have to have an HVAC guy size up the ducting or are we over thinking this. The amount heating is 4000 sq ft very drafty 200 yr old house. Need to be able to do this ourselves as this expense was not expected, City is making us remove and I mean REMOVE our OWB.

If you have no ducting, how did your old OWB heat your home?

Secondly, if you really have no duct work in your home, you WILL need it if you are adding a forced air type woodstove.
