high alkaline

I live on top of an area that was mined for stone. I planted a variety of trees and I don't think their thriving. What can I do as far as fertilize and combat the high alkaline?

you will have a big problem with growing anything, you need to go with pioneer species like poplar and elm. For the occational ornimental try amending the soil with organic mater, mulch and water as needed.
