I have an old 330 saw I have been using and I'm considering tearing into the muffler for some additional power. What exactly should I do to the muffler? I shot a couple of pics for reference. Thanks in advance.

TTT. I have already done a search on this topic. Is there a particular thread someone can direct me toward for some instructions? Thanks.

I measured your muffler outlet and inlet areas, and came up with a ratio of about 2-1. With screen installed, that is about optimum. Most of today's saws have a ratio of way under 1. My guess is your saw is fine..and already pretty loud. Any more and it might actually cut slower, as it needs some backpressure.

Tanks rbtree, yea the saw is already loud. I just like to tinker and thought there might be something I could do to it to improve the flow without losing all of the backpressure.
