Here’s the inside of a MS211 muffler if anyone’s curious. Thinking about different ways to mod it.

Hello ballisticdoughnut , I don't know the diameter of that hole but I'd bet your 35cc 2.15 cubic inch saw would run great with that muffler if that hole was about 0.21 square inch open . Might need to also open the outlet area under the hood .

After looking at this muffler I think it would be best to add another outlet. It’s impossible to enlarge the existing outlet without making an access hole, and even then the outlet is already as big as it can get. Stihl didn’t leave any room for improvement there.

F380W - Removed the inner baffle and replaced the 2 small louvers with 1/2" EMT. High jet needed about 1/4 turn out.

Not pretty, and by no means am I a welder lol, but here’s my little mod on my 55, seems to work okay, possibly might try smaller pipe stuffed inside as an “optimizer” cause currently could be a bit big for the saw honestly, but it was all I had laying around 🤷🏻‍♂️
Also don’t mind the rivets 😂 they’re filling holes that were previously drilled there by someone and needed a quick fix

@Orange Ripper Nah it matches the rest of the saw well! I'd just fill the pecker holes, do a bit more grinding, and paint it to prevent rust.
You’re not wrong lol, perfect lookin for a 33yo saw! Been meaning to get around to all that, but you know how that goes, put it on to “just try it out first” right 😂 and it since hasn’t come off for completion yet
