are you wanting a 3-shoe clutch, or will the 2-shoe 51/55 clutch work for your purposes?

It has a 51/55 clutch now, getting ready to have it ported, so I figured to get the most out of it...

Unless u just want a three shoe for conversion purposes the two shoe does fine. Never had a problem on any conversions I have done.

I'd read, that you don't get as much torque out of the 2 shoe, but if anybody would know...

Maybe just not worry about it then?

You might be right especially on a ported saw. I never port saws I sell so I leave two shoe but on my personal ported 262 I run a three shoe. I guess I it depends on application.
