Looking over Husqvarna website, I am curious to learn something.
The 550XP lists for 679.99USD. It is a 50cc saw, produces 4hp and 3.15nM of torque. Weight is 11.7 lbs.
The 555 lists for 749.99 USD. It is around 59cc,produces 4.15hp and 3.51nM torque and weighs 13 lbs.
I hear good things about both saws from users here on this forum.

My question is why would someone pay 70.00 more and lug another pound and a third around for a little bit of gain in power? Am I missing something here that doesn't show up on paper?
Not fault finding. Just trying to learn.

The 555 is similar the the 562, 60cc class. the 555 has a small mount bar, no stuffers in the crankshaft, and some other things perhaps transfer cover caps and no rev boost whatever that trade marked term really consists of.

The 550 xp has a companion saw the 545 which has similar differences as noted in the above sentence.

If someone wants a small mount 60cc Husky the 555 is the best they can get in the USA. European market gets or used to get the 560 that has the more advanced features with the small mount.
