My husband and I are looking into installing a indoor wood gassification furnace to run in tandem with our exsisting oil burner.
We have a decently insulated house that's approximately 3000 sf. We have some, but not a huge amount of outdoor storage space for wood. (We live on a 1/4 acre lot in town.) We have a hot air system. We live in S/E VT.
We know that we want to run an extrememely high efficiency wood furnace due to our storage issues and because, well, it's less expensive long term.
I'm currently looking at the Charmaster furnaces and the Yukon/Eagle/Sears systems. Am I looking at the right things? Is there something better I should look at? Am I barking up the completely wrong tree?
Thanks in advance,
Ann
