Jonsered 2041 crankshaft bearing replacement

Hi all, I have a question regarding crankshaft bearing replacement on a Jonsered 2041. I have the saw completely apart, and am ready to remove the old crankshaft bearings. On one side of the crankshaft there is just the bearing and on the other there is a small ring with rubber around the inside between the bearing and the thread where the starter gear/fan sits. It looks like the only way to remove it is to pull the bearing and ring together, not sure how to get a replacement ring back on without wrecking it. Anyone know what I'm talking about??

If you are looking at the crank oil seals, you should definitely replace them with new ones as well if you are already replacing the bearings.
