Did jonsered make 2 different versions of this saw? I'm looking at a used one that says 53cc and a every manual that I have seen on line says it should be 49cc? which is right?
Jonsered 2054 49cc or 53cc?

The earlier versions were 53.4cc and the later EPA versions were 49cc. The 49cc versions have a decomp on the recoil side, really easy to tell apart. I have both versions and prefer the 49cc version, a little peppier and higher revving. The 53cc version would be better suited with 3/8" chain, and has more grunt than the smaller version.
One of the best saws that Jonsered ever made in my opinion. They are solid and reliable, so if the price is right grab it!
