any one got some tips for mods on a js 630.

If your looking to get the most power from your saw. try putting a cylinder and piston on it from a 272 husqvarna. you will also need a intake and carb setup from the 272. also mod your stock muffler. Do a search for muffler mods,there ar a ton of them on this site. just using these parts without any port work will get your saw around 5.5 hp or more. Your saw should be rated at about 4.1 to 4.3 hp now. Good Luck Rick!
