I have purchased a Lindig model XK9PT1 9" drum chipper and now I need help as I make it usable again. (hopefully)
It is a PTO model. I was finally able to remove the blades (rusty critter) for sharpening but cannot find the torque setting for the 7/16" - 14 1 3/4" socket head cap screws that hold the blades in the drum. The machine shop suggested using grade 8 screws and blue locktite torqued to 3/4 of the max torque value for that screw. My assumption is a owner manual would have this info, but alas, no manual is available.
Anybody have any experience replacing the cutter knives on a drum Lindig and would be willing to share?
Thanks, Pat
