As it lay pale on the ground I thought it was a bit of Sycamore but I think my memory is playing tricks and it must be a bit of English Elm. Looks to be a lovely grain for a table and the 8"x *2 beams will make a good fireplace lintel
 
Just need to take off the swing blade and fit the slabber. But I have several other slabs that have been slowly seasoning and are ready for planing and sanding. I would like to give the Lucas planer and sander a go by laying these slabs on top of this log

I copied the first photos and somehow it automatically cut out the background but the last two I used the “attach files” link and it shows everything. How does that work??!!
