Just wondering if anyone has one of these lying around? I have some saw stuff for trade or just cash. I have a craftsman saw but have heard that these makitas are nice and the older ones can be found for relatively cheap.

Does that mean the one you texted me on is a no go? Wish I had known Thursday when I made the rounds of the pawn shops.
Well I am in no hurry. The guy was unsure about the actual model and I was wanting a few more pictures of the saw. I have yet to hear from him. I will let you know.

It will probably be Tuesday before I can make the rounds again, my daughter has a volleyball game on Monday.
If you find one, make sure it's either a 5007F (with light) or a 5007NB (no light) or a 5007FA (with electric brake). $50-60 used is a decent price. Just make sure the motors not sparking, the guard and the base are straight, and the spindle bearing isn't loose.
If I had a spare I'd sell you one.
