You are invited to the 1st Annual Randy's Ranch BBQ & Potluck + Antique Machine Show (& Swap). As "First Annual" implies, I hope for this to become a yearly party. The event is at the second house west of Slidell Rd. in Thompsons Corner, MD. See further directions below.

The "Main Event" will be the Antique Machine Show (& Swap) (see rules below) but other attractions will include food, music and drinks. See rules for admission. I encourage all red blooded American men that show up to bring some machine worth showing off, others please bring food or drink.

Nearby attractions include Little Bennett Park/Campground, Sugarloaf Winery, Sugarloaf Mountain, The Comus Inn, 75-80 Dragway, and The Cracked Claw at Peter Pan

Schedule:

During the Day:
Machine Show and Socializing
Burgers, Hot Dogs, Maccaroni Salad & Drinks
Potluck Food Table
Music Provided by 92.1 WPPT in Mercersburg, PA
(TIP: bring a folding chair!!)

During the Evening (For those that choose to stay):
Load up Antique Machines
Bon Fire
More Food drinks (& Beer if you so choose)
Fireworks

Event ends at 10:30pm

RULES
You must bring at least ONE of the following:
- Antique Machine (see definition below)
- or Food/Drinks
- or Money ($12, only those that show up empty handed will be charged)

No children allowed after dark
Only Antique Vehicles may park in the back
The driveway must be kept clear
No telephone calls to Iran, China, Lybia, or North Korea while at Randy's Ranch
No zaney/wacky loudness after dark
Some tables will be provided, but more tables are appreciated.
Dress properly. No one wearing any of the following will be allowed in:
super baggy pants
un-tied boots
exposed mens underwear
hat with unbent rim or stickers on it
over sized tee shirts


Antique Machine (definition):
20+ years old or just really cool. Preferably Made in USA, Europe, Australia, Japan, or Canada. Chinese machines can be displayed in the garbage can. Randy's Ranch attendees are encouraged to bring as many cool machines as they can. An antique machine may be but is not limited to:
John Deere 66SV
Homelite 2100 S
1968 Camaro
Live Steam Engine
1966 Porsche
Harley Davidson JDH
Antique Tractor
Ford Galaxy
Any military machine new or old
Kenworth W900
1994 Dodge Viper
Any Antique Chainsaw (
Doodlebug Pulling Truck (see this link for explanation: YouTube - ‪Blue Goose Doodlebug Full Pull‬‏)
Alfa Romeo
pre-1983 power or hand tools (as long as they are cool)
Antique Log Splitter (no overhead valves allowed)
1989 Dodge W250 4x4 w/Cummins Turbo Diesel
2011 Lamborghini Diablo
Gun made entirely out of metal and/or wood (no plastic)
Gas Powered Thing
Steam Powered Thing
Thing that makes cool noises and power
Old Wisconsin Engine
These are all just examples meant to give an idea of what is deemed "cool" (but some of you may actually own these)

*if you are not positive that your machine qualifies PM me to verify or bring a backup item that you think might qualitfy*
(hopefully the list above gives you a good idea)
(TIP: keep in mind that you may see something you want to buy, or someone may want to buy something of yours!!)


Directions
Thompsons Corner is right outside Clarksburg on Comus Rd between 355 and Comus. Randy's "Ranch" is located on the South side of Comus Road between Slidell and Peach Tree roads. Look for the Allis Chalmers B on the south side Comus Rd, thats the "Ranch".

John, I'll be there with a long table and a couple of few saws.
 
I just saw the invite, I've got a big maple tree to take down tomorrow. I could almost drive my 57 Ford 640 tractor that far. If I get done in time I'll stick the old Disston DA211 2 man and a couple of the big Homies in the truck and come over. I'm in Mt Airy so it's just a stones throw, Joe.

PS I just saw the reference to the 68 Camero, and 75-80 is just up the street, I've got a 68 Cuda Formula S convertible, wanna play?
