I have a rather large apple tree that drops more than a thousand apples a
year. Is their any way to stop this tree from producing apples besides taking
an ax to it ? thanks for any info. This tree is about 35 to 40 feet tall
and has large yellow I do not fertilize or spray this tree just pick up its
apples

There are many posts here on this subject. One can control the amount of fruit produced with crop thining agents like Florel, sold by our sponsor, Sherrill.

Also regular pruning will reduce the number of apples.
