Looks like a hedge shearing setup BICBW. I sure hope no one would try and use that chain w/o the attachment. :chainsaw:

Yeah, that's that odd-ball auto-sharpener from ye olde days. Had a stone hidden in the works and whenever the thing started cutting slow(er) ya just hit the button (I think that's the one up top) and Presto! cut like original crap again!
 
I just sold a old craftsman PS with that power sharp feature from the 70's to a guy for $5 plus shipping. Just was hoping someone could use the parts saw, it had good spark. The saw was just to old for my parts. No parts would interchange with my other top handles with eletronic modules. Someone out there must like collecting them because they have been selling all winter.
 
From what I've read around here most folks wind up switching to a standard chain (doesn't require a different sprocket), and removing the PowerSharp gadget.
