Putting the labor in Labor day weekend

I have started working on blow downs from the hurricane. Attached are pics of the two red oaks I cut up. There was a black walnut that I was able to get a 7' log that was just under 20" too. Too bad the big oak split itself right down the middle. Two 16' logs were saved from the second one. For scale the saw is my 064/066 with 30" bar.

Looks like that loader takes a lot of the labor back out of Labor Day too!

Are you making firewood or selling the logs?

The spilt tree will make lots of nice firewood. The other trees will go for logs. We had three loads hauled away this summer.
