I posted in the open forum, sosorry, new to your group...I purchased a SL9 in excellent condition for its age...runs great..except it is pulling chain bar oil in to the cylinder & as we all know, smokes white badly and is needing this repaired...I read here in your groups about a "duckbill valve"...I have torn the saw apart (except the oil tank)...cleaned all the oil lines that I can get to, ran without chain bar oil and it does not smoke...can anyone tell me how to get to the valve in the tank? Do I need to crack the case? I am no ACE mechanic and have no tools to crack the case....Appreciate your alls help in restaoring this old girl to full running condition..
