This beautiful oak in my front yard had been slowly dying of oakwilt for years, so had to have it taken down. My daughter in the tree hug pic, then 10, didn't want it to go away and cried that morning before leaving for school knowing it would be gone. Took over 200 digital pics from start to finish to get a good sequence album... here are 9 of them. The job cost $1200 (SE Pa suburbs) in 2002, and they left everything over 4". I got about 2 chords of firewood, plus milled about 700 ft of aok from this tree, about half of it quartersawn as seen in last pic.
