Ok, got a handfull of 046's and 2 of them have leaking tanks from previous battle wounds. Is there any products that hold up well to gas that will seal these cracks up? I was gonna try some sorta crazy glue.....046 screw tanks seem to be pretty much non-existant. Anyone got any good recommendations on stuff theyve used that has actually held up and not peel off? If someone knows of or has a tank or 2 id be interested as well to avoid the headache.

Get a soldering iron and thin a tip to something like a flat screwdriver. Then use it to "weld" it back together. Heck, send it this way and I wil do it.

This works so well with so many things. CLEAN clean and clean again prior to any melting or sanding.
Google "plastic welding" and watch a vid or two.
I've had great success salvaging saw tanks, side covers, truck fender flares, vacuum cleaner handle (GF probably drunk and thought it was her broom and tried to fly away?).
So many uses once you build the skill.

i used permatex, perma poxy plastic weld on a ms360 tank about 2 yrs ago, it was for a friend in the property maint. business, his guys are rough on stuff..
roughed up the area with sand paper, cleaned with alcohol, mixed the epoxy, dries in 5 minutes, done ..
got it at advance auto........

Thanks for the tips, ill try some sorta epoxy i guess like the mentioned and see how that does, if that dont work ill haveta try my buddies plastic welder.
