Hi, first post here.

I have a big elm out front that is currently being infested with cankerworms(even though we put up banding to keep them off) anyway, is there any point in spraying them at this time? Will they just float over from nearby trees? What should I spray with?

Second, what the heck are these?

They're all over the tree and on all the surrounding elms as well...

I just fixed my profile.

I'm in Canada.

We had a really mild winter so I imagine we'll be seeing all kinds of pests. Is there a treatment that would work on both cankerworms and scale? Hopefully some of the scale are still crawling around.
