Heated handles do not currently work. Don’t have a good Sthil dealer close by and just bought a 572 so would like to sell this one. Top cover has a crack and case and inside bucking spike are black from running the Egan straight shot muffler cover, will include straight shot muffler cover. Stock exhaust outlet has been enlarged and aftermarket bucking spikes otherwise all stock. It’s dirty but not lots of run time, has original rim sprocket. $850 shipped to lower 48. 0BC98CF8-E91A-4B3E-8E42-4DAE2D6E6966.jpegF79C0B2C-BBCA-453F-ABFD-5FC2BE6DF83E.jpegC2411EA9-B61F-495B-ACAA-D33C6380D803.jpeg33D01767-883D-4B3B-A7D8-02136FB4ED17.jpeg600055D6-7626-4297-9785-4CF97489A3F6.jpegE9CDAD0B-78E2-4A72-A8D7-866F11F48E6D.jpeg4C3E375A-B6FF-4511-B545-C29F719222F2.jpeg420249DB-CACA-4085-8C67-F82C649A81DE.jpeg7D973CC4-B740-4A16-BA76-944A9631D988.jpeg9AA3B640-F1C5-4FC0-A151-3BDE45F0C7A6.jpeg

I don’t, couldn’t see anything wrong with wires. Looks like saw is sold but if not I’ll let you know. Thanks for the interest.
Cool, I hope you will be pleased going from a 462 to a 572. I sure regretted that same move a couple years ago. Good luck and thanks for the quick reply, I had read that Stihl had produced some Arctic 462r models but yours is the first I have seen.

Thanks, yeah me too, lol. Debated it for quite awhile. I’ve had a couple 462’s and 572’s, really like the weight of the 462 and revs quick and will out cut the 572 but I much prefer the bigger wider clutch cover and chip flap on the 572, less chips in the face and easier to replace thrown chain. Also like the clutch side handle spacing much better. Not much for dealer support for either but at least I can order husky parts online. Yeah had to get it from Canada and cost quite a bit, I’m a big fan of heated handles.

Another plus for the 572 in my opinion is the true full wrap instead of the 3/4 wrap. I used to put pro safety wraps on my 461’s instead of the 3/4. Both the 572 &462 are good saws!
