Bent the crap out of the inner drive tube (tube that connects to the head). Talking to Stihl, they say that the only part I should have to replace is the tube itself, and that the guts should be able to be pulled out of the old one, and reinstalled into the new tube (p/n 4138 710 7115). This is the older style that has the splined inner flex shaft. If anyone can give me some input as to how big of a bear this one is going to be I would appriciate it.

Its not a big job but you will need to pay close attention to what part goes where in what order, and make sure you have the tube right end for end.

For a guy doing it for the first time blind I'd say its no more than a 45 minute job. Good luck go slow and pay attention when you disassemble the bent one.

Check for a bent drive shaft before you order your tube, could save you some down time.
