I've seen loggers with them. I don't cut anything over 8' to mill and I use an 18" stick to mark my firewood.
Man...I bought a 75' Spencer because it was cheaper online than the 50' but the 50' is what I really wanted.
Now....do I sell the 75' and buy this 50'? Decisions decisions decisions......
Also, I really like these tapes even though I rarely cut anything longer than about 12'. They make measuring logs at any length really easy and it's a huge time saver. I used to cut lots of logs at 8.5' and would just eyeball it or use my wingspan + an eyeballed 2.5' but it was never right on. Now, it's always dead on and the wood stacks look really nice.
