Stihl ms382

Not sure if you guys are aware of, just sharing some info

Stihl ms382 latest model based on the 038,381 platform
stihl is claiming its got :

20% reduced fuel consumption
lightened flywheel which uses aluminuim rather than conventional cast iron
lesser fins but bigger than the previous model which improves cooling
latest designed and better recoil technology
weight reduction from 6.6kg to 6.2kg
new cylinder design but the cc and power rating are maintained

That same web link has a ms440 and ms660, interesting. I'm not sure what role this saw will fill? Also kinda odd it's a "new" pro saw that is non moronic, this seems to deviate from how Stihl has been releasing pro saws at least here in the the US.

i just realized, surprisingly ms440, ms460 are already discontinued in my country
maybe they didnt update the list ? 3rd world countries dont appreciate that much of tech advancement
we prefer old school i guess lol

I've already seen it advertised for sale in Israel, of all places. Apparently it's intended to replace the MS440 on markets outside EPA/EUII emission regulations.

i'd rather have ms440 personally
i owned 038 mag, they are good saws
the cons were:

fleece air filter compared to 372/440
which has better air filtration
clunky on/off/choke trigger
