Neat, glad it did not pull out the hitch. A lot of small cars have very little support on the rear hitch.

Nah... IIRC, all subarus are rated to tow 2500# or more... See people all the time towing RVs and car trailers with Jeep Grand Cherokees, with the hitches bolted to the uni-body... I wouldn't do the "WOT running snatch-strap" manouver with one, but anything you can pull (smoothly) with one of those on snowy grass isn't going to hurt anything...
