supercharging a 2 stroke

Hi,

in years gone by I really enjoyed using 2 stroke supercharged diesel engines, these really strange things with 12 pistons in 6 cylinders, fuel injection and a roots compressor.

I can't see either turbo or superchargers working well on the type of 2 stroke engine found in chainsaws though.

we had a similar engine (6 piston, 3 cylinder) as a generator next to the big 12 piston, 6 cylinder engine. Two stroke supercharged diesels are fun! Until they break...
