We have, make that had, three nice ash trees that the emerald ash borer killed. Smallest was 14", largest was 16-17" in diameter. All three laid down within a few degrees of where the notch was pointing, with a little guidance from a rope and a Gator TX. MS361 did the felling & chunking of the bigger stuff, 026Pro handled the trimming and much of the bucking. 3 tanks of fuel in the 026Pro, 2 in the MS361, and sore shoulders and legs. Thank goodness for the seasonal Oktoberfest beer in the evening (try the Bells & Leinenkugel). Not as big a task as many of you have experienced, but plenty challenging for a rookie like me. Wife checked to see if our homeowners policy was up to date.

She was happy that I didn't hit home, large blue spruce & other smaller trees, or the neighbor's stuff. I never had a doubt. :dizzy:

Much thanks to all of the guidance I gathered from fellow AS members' postings.

Steve
