I have some trees that I would like to identify. I live in Cincinnati, ohio and I have a number of large trees on a piece of property I own that have a cluster of large thorns that grow out of the trunk the tree. What kind of tree is this. Can anyone help?

Thanks, John

okay, jon what is a black locust?, ive was taught that tree in the picture was a black locust! I wonder how many people think im crazy now!

The worst is when the customer corrects you. I can dig it when the pop the cultivar off "no that's a Cleavland maple" so I go into what a cultivar is and why the selected that form.

But when I cuise by and say "the apple over there" and they say "No that's a plum." D'oh!

I realy love it when I'm stumped and they thell me what it is.

I hate putting "tree on courner of house" on a bid sheet.
