I wanted to buy a turkey litter bucket attachment for my skid steer to be used for both measuring out a face cord of wood and for snow removal. The boxes come in width's of 78, 84 and 90 inches. They are 44 inches deep and 33 inches tall. I believe a face cord is 42.6 cubic feet. Can anyone help me on determining what bucket is closest to a face cord or how you determine what the cubic feet of each bucket is? I did not do good in Math! Please help! Thanks!

ok

the 90 inch wide one holds 75.4875 cubic feet
the 84 inch wide one holds 70.455 cubic feet
the 78 inch wide one holds 65.422 cubic feet

There are 1728 cubic inches in a cubif foot. When multriplied together 12x12x12 or 144x12 comes out to 1728.Take your 3 dimensions Length, Width and Heighth, in inches, Multiply them together to get total cubic inches of the box. There are 1728 cubic inches in one cubic foot. To convert from cubic inches to cubic feet after you have found the total area in cubic inches simply divide that # by 1728 and you have your volume in cubic feet.

33"x44"x78" / 1728 = 65.422 cubic feet
33"x44"x84" / 1728 = 70.455 cubic feet
33"x44"x90" / 1728 = 75.488 cubic feet

The smallest of the 3 is closest to a third cord or face cord.
