For some reason I want a 500i pretty bad. That 1500 bucks just isnt going to happen.

Had most the parts kicking around to put together a 44 with 46 top.

Spent last night grinding in the cylinder just basic work porting then today hit 3 stihl dealers looking for the small misc parts I needed.

Rounded everything up. Together it went. All new seals bearings anything rubber exept for the inteli thing and rubber over carb screws

Not gona put compression gauge on it cause I freaking tight squish and ive never had acurate gauge anyways.

Squish on the metor piston with gasket is 015-018 alittle tight but gona roll with it.

May mix up some gas and see if she fires.

Pretty excited with the 28 light bar she feels damn good.

Will be paired with my 372xpw thats been the work horse on its own for a few years.

Looks great. I’m sitting on 2 10mm 044s and 2-3 046s. One of these days they need to be brought back to life. In the meantime I have a low hour 10mm saw that get used frequently.

Pretty sure I bought my 7900 online brand new shipped to me for $550 - I have built several 044 with the 046 top ends - great setup

Looks great! Light bars are where it’s at pretty much all I run now. Sounds like that saw is essentially new again.

Got one tank in and kinda tuned on rich side. Normaly always go to the rich side

Gota Show off my spikes, cut them outa 1/4" then temperd. Grip the wood real nice.

Think it might make more power down low then the 372xpw.

Clears chips better than the 372 seems more locked in. Im alittle old school stihl biased

Bought the only clue what this thing is

The latest and greatest might cut a little faster that your saw, but you would have to run them side by side to notice. There is the satisfaction of having a great saw for the fraction of the price. Enjoy!

thank you.

Id hope the 500i out cuts a mild ported 046 cylinder.
