I have seen plans for waste oil burners that produce a 2 foot flame and can be build for under 50 bucks but price is not what i am after .
I was think why could i not direct that flame into a coil to heat water as a booster of sorts for my owb.
I have another set of connectors on the back so i could hook it up there .
would i use 1 inch steel pipe or would copper do??
copper i could bend around a oxy tank to get its coil shape but steel I think would need to be made with 90's and straight pieces.

I've built several such devices for heating WVO for dewatering/filtering. Copper will stand up okay. Steel tubing can be had that is soft enough to bend, though, should you decide to go that route.
