What is this tree?

Okay, I'm pretty good with tree ID, but this one has me a little stumped.... I'll probably have one of those "Oh crap, it XXXXXXX!" when the leaves come out.

Few details:
#1: North central Arkansas for the location.
#2: Have seen it in the woods as well as a few yards and roadsides.
#3: The bark is smooth when the tree is small(under 5" diameter), the older tree I've seen has rough deep ridge type bark, grayish brown.

Thanks. Think it might just be....

Guess I'll leave it be, was thinking about felling one and getting some slabs, cut some blanks, drying 'em and give 'em a turn on the lathe. Think the possible rashes and the poisonous leaves gives it a thumbs down.
