This is what I came out to on Wednesday morning.
This is the last stem of three from what was a 70' silver maple, the first piece of this tree crushed the back of our van a couple years ago for those that recall.
North face of the garage:
A few more angles of the calamity:
North face of garage looking down to figure out how to reduce safely.
South face of garage roof, a pile of the small limbs and brush from the silver maple and the chinese elm it brought with it.
Just some of the damage from the inside of the roof.
The fine tools that did the job.
Homelite XL2
Mac 10-10 manual oiler
I'll be milling the butt log, not sure if it'll be done in a 20'+ length or easier to handle 10' lengths, may as well put some of that mess to good use besides just bon and firewood.
