A large x/y vice like a drill press vice with a 360 rotating bed.
A sturdy, adjustable boom/mast with an angle grinder attached to it. Angle grinder has the infamous "wheel of death" chainsaw chain wheel on it.
Insert wooden blank such as bowl blank. Set depth on chainsaw wheel to remove material.
Rotate.
