Looks like the EAB critters got my Ash tree in the front yard. I had today off so it came down and I planted a Fall Fiesta Sugar Maple. Doesn't seem to be any diseases or bugs that the Maple are susceptible to, of course when I planted the Green Ash there wasn't anything bothering them either...
I'll always have a 50cc or 2 in my line up. I cut a lot of trees with many limbs and it's great to have a small easy to maneuver and light saw for the task. All the limb wood goes to me for my freestanding stove and the biggies go to my brothers or grandparents boilers. I'll likely always have a...

Friend of mine said our local Husqvarna/ Jonsered dealer told him that Total bars would no longer be available as they have gone out of business or have quit offering them.......or something along those lines.
I am not sure if it would be Total or Tsumura that has gone out of business or if any...
Clean 6100. 20 inch bar and chain, 3/8 .050 and 72 drive link. Saw has had less than 10 tanks through it--probably closer to 5. No scars, scratches, signs of wear or even use, really. It truly looks new.
Asking $450 plus shipping.
Nice clean one here. All functions of the saw work as they should and it runs well. A few scratches and wear areas that used equipment will have. There are no cracked or broken pieces that I can find.
$375.00 plus shipping cost. Paypal friends/family preferred.
Really nice 359 with 357 piston/cylinder for sale. Base gasket removed and muffler modded. Has the Walbro HDA 199 carb that has been "fixed" by tree monkey. 20" bar/chain running .050 chisel. Wanting $400.00 through pay pal.
Curiosity has me wondering. I recently got a Husq. 181 s.e. and it has a 24'' total bar.
I tried to put it on my 371 and my 84dl chains are too long. I have several 24'' bars and they say they require 84 drivers. Looked at the bar on the 181 and it says 82 drivers and then checked out the total...
Things didn't go as planned with this one. Had my eye on this big standing dead elm for firewood/Spring GTG tree. The tree had more rot at the base than I realized and pinched my bar on the first cut, didn't even get my notch cut. I got my other saw and as the tree was going over, I planned...
Finally cooled off enough to start getting wood again. Got this load ready for grandparents OWB. They have a hard time keeping warm enough :msp_wink: once the temps get even a little cooler. This will get them started. Truck is my brother's 2008 diesel - holds a load pretty well. pics attached
First experience milling on Saturday 9-1-2012.My brothers mill and saw(Granberg Alaskan MK111 and Jonsered 2188.My Aunt and Uncle wanted some benches to put around the pond and Uncle wanted us to cut some slabs from this big Ash. Probably been cut for 2 years or so and was dryer and harder than...
I found these in some of my FIL's things. They appear to be made from cotton duck or canvas-type material. Does anyone who has been around saws and chaps longer than I know what type of material is sandwiched between the cotton? Would it be kevlar type, long, stringy fibers like we see today...
Having trouble getting my new Forester bar to oil properly on the 371xp. Been thinking about biting the bullet and getting a better brand of bar. Looking for a Total Super Bar. Where have you all found the best place and prices for these---doI need to go through a dealer? Thanks for the...
Did some trading and ended up with this new-to-me 371. Traded my old Stihl 041AV. WOW...the Stihl was my "big" saw and now I have this one and quite a boost in performance at approx. the same weight or less. This will make my firewooding faster and more fun. Got it from another AS member and...
I have been wanting a 372 for some time now and am starting to look more seriously. My question is this: how do you like the x-torq saws in comparison to the standard 372XP. Looking for opinions, facts and any info you guys are willing to share.
Ron
I have a chance at a mint model 670@ 450.00$ ---also been looking at the newer model 2165. Do any of you have opinions on one being better than the other or any personal experience that can help me make a good decision.
Thanks
Ron
New experience for me today. Local logger needed some help bucking logs on the landing. Rounded up 6 guys to help - logger said he had approx. 100,000 board feet of soft maple and some ash. I usually just cut firewood and some bigger pieces, but nothing like I experienced today.
Saws in...
