    Question/ back up saw

My two main saws are a 372 XP and a 346 XP. My back up saw is a 359 that won't work as well as those two in their intended uses but will take the place of either one if they go down.

    Champion Splitter New $699.99

If you live near a Rural King they have a Champion 23 Ton splitter that has a $899.99 sale price with a $200.00 online rebate. The sale is good 12-16-12 to 12-22-12. They also have a Wild Thing for $99.99 plus another $10.00 online rebate. It's a good saw to let your brother-in-law use.

Stove in basement delima and questions?

I would have to go with idea #1. I have a Granpa Bear in my basement wich is sectioned off so it's not heating the entire basement and it stays comfortable upstairs even in single digit weather. My house is well insulated though.

    Penny Pinchers Corner..post your uglies!

When it's in the stove doing what it's supposed to be doing I can't tell what it looks like. I like ugly wood.

Said goodbye to a loyal friend...

I've had to do the same thing too and I know it isn't easy. I have a Chocolate Lab that may be getting close to the same thing. A dog is man's best friend.

Do you even bother with Red Cedar?

Yep, it makes great kindling and campfire wood.

Need a bigger saw, need your expert advice

I have a 346XP and a 372XP and haven't ever had second thoughts about either one of them. Besides they look good together. I'll buy a 385XP or a 390XP someday if I find one cheap enough. I don't need one but they would be fun.

Wood Id please...stinks to high heaven it that helps...

I'd definitely say cherry. It's not as good as oak but nowhere near the worst either. I wouldn't turn any of it down.

wood thief caught in the act

Glad to hear that the thief got caught, cuffed and stuffed. I work with a guy whose brother got electrocuted in a sub station trying to steal copper. His brother said that it could have happened that way or he could have been pushed into it by some of his good friends.

Anyone know what type of Maple this is?

I don't which maple it is but from my own experience I'd say that it's good wood. The maple that's white looking rots on me really quick.

First family camping trip - gear suggestions needed

If you have electricity at the campsite an extension cord and a fan will make it more comfortable in the tent in hot weather.

First family camping trip - gear suggestions needed

I used to use (many years ago) a Coleman stove for cooking and it worked quite well. I guess you can still buy them. They're compact and don't take up much room. A grill with a burner is good but it doesn't sound like you have very much room. Before I got a camper I made a list and added...

What Do You Do With The Ashes.

I put some on the garden last year where I'm growing tomatoes now and they look great. I've also read that it gets rid of bugs in your garden too but don't know if it's true.

    This is hilarious....

I work around a couple guys from Detroit and they're pretty messed up too. I don't know if that's the norm or just coincidence.

    Real Huskee 22 Ton reviews

A carb problem was mentioned by sb47 and that jogged my memory to a small problem that I did have with mine. My carb was overflowing (I think two different times) but all I had to do was to rap it with a screwdriver handle a couple times to unstick the float.

    This is hilarious....

What kind of vert is that in the background? If it's an old Mustang then he can't be all bad.

    Real Huskee 22 Ton reviews

I've had my 22 Huskee for a long time now and have no complaints. The engine has started using some oil but I have used it on an incline quite a bit so I don't know if that may have hurt it or not.
