Nope, but I want to install a stove in my house in Dover. Why it didn't have a fireplace or stove is beyond me.

Haven't done a whole heck of a lot of research on it yet other than to look at the more common brands. Need a big enough one to heat a two-story 2100+ sq/ft house though.

Regular stove. All my relatives and ex-father-in-law used them quite a bit and they really get the house warm.

Yup. That's why I've got both. Nice even heat from the boiler, good ambience and back up heat from the stove.

if you want a junk wood to burn try hybrid poplar.

I've got about a cord of rounds of that Poplar shite from a tree removal job I did for an old lady in town.
I'll just end up splitting it small for kindling I guess.

yes it is and heavy...thank goodness for the Peavey...could not do it without. standing them bears up to noodle was not fun.
the stump is all twisted and knarley knotted too...pretty much gonna saw them into boiler size for a buddy of mine...had to take the junk with the gooder stuff...

Other than pine we don't see much big wood up this way.

Here's the biggest tree I cut last year, 25" at the widest.

I bust all my firewood to just a little bigger than i would for a regular wood stove, makes it easier for me to pack the greedy hungry beast like a sardine can...I leave some of it big.
