Few questions...

*Entry fee?

*What time of the day does it start?

*Will old saws be run, or is it mainly modern saws?

*Class divisions?

*Good food?

That about does it...[emoji16]

there is no entry fee, there will be a donation jar, can, box, near the food area.
start around 9 am, run till dark.
old or new, stock or modified, if it cuts wood we will race it
class divisions, going to put a little twist on it to make it interesting. bring what you have and have fun with it.
we will do our best with the food.

there is no way anyone can know the cc's of every saw made, please know the cc of your saws before race day.

there is no prize money or trophies at this time. if someone wants to sponsor that, that would be great.

we are short handed for this event, anyone willing to help would be greatly appreciated.

bring your long bars, hoping to race in big wood as well, like over 30"

we have more room now then we did when we had our last gtg. tents and campers welcome.

hotels/motels in osseo ( 10 miles ) or eau claire ( 20 miles )

there will be sawmill demo's during the day

update: Spoke with Scott some and this is an attempt to get all the details in one post.

address - Kunz Woodworking
S6825 State Road 27, Augusta, WI 54722

Scott, myself and @dieselfitter worked most of the day on sunday clearing brush and picking up logs from the storm damage.

HUGE brush pile! - going to be one heck of a bonfire! lol

Wednesday - more setup, Sawmill running, ATV trails 1/2 mile up the road, Gun Range also 1/2 mile up the road. If you want to split wood there is plenty to split, If you want to cut firewood there is plenty to cut.

Thursday - more of the same but also there is some talk of a Dirt Bike and or ATV ride about 20 miles north of the GTG site.

Friday - more of the same. Possibly some racing.

Saturday - saw mill demo at 8am. Start saw racing about 10am til we run out of gas!

Sunday - Trap shoot 10am - 2pm we have the trap range to ourselves it sounds like. 1/2 mile up road at Augusta sportsman club.

Camping at GTG - There is plenty of space to camp at the gtg site (shop). Scott can do 15amp service.

Camping at Woodland - 2miles north of kunz woodworking on Hwy 27. Believe they charge $25 per night. There is also a motel.

Hotel - Osseo is a good size town about 10-15 miles south of GTG site. Eau Claire is major town 15-20 miles west of scott. (I doubt this will come into play for anyone but if google map tells you to take county road I. It's closed FYI)

Parking - lots and lots of room to park!

Racing - Scott likes racing. So bring all your saws! There will be plenty of cants and lugs to cut on.

Logs - Plenty logs here and sounds like there will be some guys are bringing in some big logs as well. Scott is sawing out a new big Oak cant approx 30" wide x 36" tall. I ordered a couple of rolls of chain. If anyone wants to do 36" bar racing.

Local Store/ Gas station - woodland is 1-2 miles up the road. They have bait, ice, pop, beer, food, gas etc.

Lumber for sale - This is at a saw mill so if your looking for good prices on lumber...

Saw parts, chains, Saws for sale - I know Scott's son will have a bunch of stuff for sale in the shop.

FOOD - Scott rented a large smoker/grill.

*** anyone a good cook? A friend of Scott's was going to cook. But some family medical issues came up and he can't now. So we could really use a good cook!

Work in progress...so far I know we have a bunch of chicken, beans, some potatoes, some fries, some mashed potatoes. If someone wants to bring something it would be most appreciated!
