Nice work. I find the SS table a little crowded too, and often remove half a round or stand it on end. I also get wood impacted under the table. The ram beats small pieces in there, raising the metal if I do not keep it cleaned out.
What are you going to power it with?

Holy hell, that's a great job! Man that would save me a hell of a lot of bending on my splitter I tell ya. Now I have to learn how to Weld and get metal. I was going to buy this side table of fleabay but doesn't look like it will hold up.

My father's been a welder forever. International Harvester over 40 years. All materials. At 78, he still makes it look easy! Design and fabrication are second nature.
Nice job!!

Sam, Bigger table is excellent. Please let me add that legs are a must. I have 2 supersplits and it seems that the more i split the bigger the tables i want. Luke

I bought my first brand new super split a few weeks ago with a factory table. All the super splits I've had in the past have been brought back from the dead and had home made tables. The factory table is kind of small but when I picked it up paul showed me a prototype table that is wider and longer that will be available by the end of the summer.

Hell to the yes .....

Why no lips on the sides?
Because I lost my little fingers fingernail on the one with the side. Hit it at the Missouri charity cut this spring. I did put a small round on the side to stop pieces from rolling off. Fingernail is half grown back now.

Up 6 to 20 inches with the SS SE. But it is lots of stringy Green Ash (EAB) I have done up to 48 inches in diameter. Dry dead Elm is when you really tell the difference. Anything over 10 inches you have to flip the log and split on top and bottom.

Elm, oh yeah. All our ash is dead dry and splits easy. That's why I keep chewing getting one. Faster but I thought an HD w Honda would do it all.
