Which Is Best For Torque? Intake Question

I decided to modify the intake and was wondering which one I should be doing because I only have one shot at this. Should the top of intake be tricked or should the bottom of the intake be tricked where it meets the skirt?

Massage both just slightly?

IF you could only choose one, which would you decide on and why?

legend has it that the top of the intake is irrelevant. concentrate on the bottom.
but there is probably much more to it than just opening it up (not too much ECT).

For this build I just wanted to cocentrate on the bottom portion only.

So far so good.

Don't raise the top at all. It's the bottom of the intake that counts. Lower isn't always better. Reasonably flat and wide is good. Keep the side walls straight.

This is for a possible 7901 if the stars align.

I'm going to try for some severe angles(will play with a few on wood then decide on which one) with a smooth plane using the mex port method.

My aim is to take in the charge as quickly as possible.

Or am I going at it the wrong way?

I wish I had 50 7901 jugs to play with

Lower it enough so that you can always check the condition of the connecting rod when piston is at TDC.

BTW, don't lower you intake more than a mm, widen and leave with a flat but course finish.
