Here are three piles of firewood almost ready I have three
times that at least to split but will slow down and start
jobs until deer season. This would come close to heating
me all winter if we don't have a long one!

One pile did not come out I will have to repost it:monkey:
The one with the truck was six full loads and is what I will
burn first lot of junk in it but all oak as is all on my wood!
This has seasoned two and a half years!

come live up north here...that pile would last only a month.

but...nice haul nonetheless!!

The other pile did not save in my cam  they were all about the same
but the missing pile was all red oak. I may try to find it in my cam or take another pic but I am dreading the other ten or more cords I have in my
back forty. I made my mind up to split it all at any cost though! At least
I can wait for it to chill some:laugh:

There is around three cords in each pile give or take a rick
my pickup is a long eight foot bed six good loads but yeah
the cold up there is brutal and I would need to underpin the
trailer for sure :hmm3grin2orange:

Pic third pile this was from a fifty six"dbh red oak I was too far
from the piles but rastling those big ones sucks!
More like two cords in this pile but good stuff virgin seasoned
red oak timber!

i'm finishing up some ash trees this weekend. got my son and a couple of his buddies to help out.

with 3 chainsaws, we should fill that 18 foot trailer with at least two loads.

A better view of the pile and some of the other I have to split
in my future! At least the big ones are done there is about 5 trees
in the seasoned pile it has grown up two years and I heard a rattler
so it is getting split.

Your gonna have to get a stihl for that trunk.LOL. Some nice wood, Wood burning season is going to get here soon enough. Nice huskys ya got too.

Good pics Rope. I like the shade tent, I really need to set one of those up for long splitting sessions in the summer. I would have a cooler in there and an old recliner.

Nice area for the work, great start on the winters heat.
There is a small walnut that provides just enough shade for splitting, really does make quite a difference.

Your the first to say that about the shade:cheers: It helps a great deal
it has been 94 degrees lately with high humidity so the ten dollar tent
was cheap comfort, I can also stay dry in a pounding rain!
