Buy the 350 before you get the 455 or 460!!! Both are bloated overrated pigs!!
I like them even less than the 290 series!

hey red..do they still make a 350 husky if not what replaced it? DW

http://www.usa.husqvarna.com/node3098.aspx?nid=45707

Seems it was killed by the 450.

Look at the 346, 353, 357 and 359.
I like the 357 myself, good unner out of the box, less weight than the 359, but can pull a 20" easily and a 24" if needed. It also likes a good muffler mod.

Hopefully some others will chime in as well.

Hey Red...where can I find on line prices for husky...I know where to find stihl prices on line......Hey Red you really do like me don't ya! DW :givebeer:

You know you can now buy husky at tractor supply stores, does that mean that husky is any cheaper now?? I know stihl is only bought at dealers...Just tought i'd ask DW:givebeer:

OK Scooter, edumecation time.

Lowes, Attwoods, Tractor supply and others have been carrying the entry level Huskies for years.
The pro modles are only sold at dealers. Cheapens or not, it's been going on for a while now. I bought my 350 from Attwoods!

I recomend a dealer because I have a lot of small engine and mechanical background. Most don't.

Red thanx ,there is a really fine looking 350 on ebay for 280 with 5 min to go what are these things worth and how much were they new DW..

280 used is too much. They sold new for 325-375.

Hang on, let me check the marketplace here.

red, you stated that they were replaced by the 450, well h--l i should buy a new one of them...are they as good if not better than the 350...i'm keeping ya buzzy tonite aren't I ? DW:clap:

Thanx again red...i will check on the 353 and the 450 tomarrow at my local husky dealer...gonna hit the hey.....later DW:greenchainsaw:

I know you didn't give in and get the 361, so what is it tonight? What did the dealer convince you was the ticket today?

So many saws cross over into each others' "territory" a dealer can with good conscience recomment several saws to a single buyer as being "right". In the end, he just may try to sell you want he wants to sell. Don't rely too much on his suggestion, is my point.

Do yo have wood-cuttin' buddies? What works for them? What do they NOT like? In the end, you'll be just like the rest of us and declare your saw as the best saw for you, as that also defends you decision making. ( I suspect that has a LOT to do with the Stihl/Husky wars here).

Buy the best you can afford and understand that you may well have to add to your fleet or upgrade/downgrade as your cutting needs shift. Buying a saw isn't a lifelong committment, don't spend too much time on it.

353 mag case

You know the more i read these threads the more i like the 353 husky....I think it will last a long time... but the stihl 270..280 have good ratings too.... DW :givebeer: :givebeer: :givebeer:
