Flip caps are like hot blondes Joat, they aren't for everyone, now you sit back and finnish your beer, I'll take care of the hot blonde, oppps, I mean flip cap, hahahaha

Tommie ole feller,

Just be careful not to get a case of STD saw threaded device.

Joat

Well, I watched a guy use a flip cap for the whole day on Saturday while drinking beer and I say they are not all you Stihlheads make them out to be.

Yeah, I've never used one, so what?

Flipped off,

Joat

If you fellows don't quit drinking beer, running saws and using unsafe, poorly designed caps, we'll all be sorry.

Next thing you know DC will legislate assualt saw bans, license to operate, mandatory PPE, felony charges and saws confiscated for drinking while operating. :censored:

Could please keep your dangerous observations and experiences to yourself!.....PLEASE

:givebeer:

Tommie,

Well, your water is between 084 and 088 degrees fahrenheit, perfect for a tepid Folgers.

Enjoy,

Joat

And thats right out the tap. I've kinda cut back on my Folgers of late Joat. I'm down to a mere gallon per day now. Seems my legs have quit shaking and people have stopped calling me a "Hound Dog". My record sales are down a tad but I feel good, hehe

Speaking of 088 and 084 I'll be going back out to that woodpile to finnish it up once them guys get the easy work done, all the splitting. Being a man of high moral fiber and utmost charactor I don't piddle with the easy work, only the hard work, sawing. Theres a few logs left in that pile. Hopefully I can get Hoss to bring out his big saws and getcha some pics of chips a flying,

Tommie,

First, TMI. What goes on in your personal life is only of concern to you, Woodie, the blond, and Demi.

Second, have fun in the woods. Big Hoss, you have fun too, hear?

I have been, I am and will remain,

Joat

You sure have made no secret of the fact that you like it.....

Was the case of 372xp damaged when you got it?

No need to make a secret about the 346, its one easy handling saw, trimming with that thing is like using a butcher knife, its that easy to use. Many tend to overlook how a saw handles in use and lean toward power only. Thats a big mistake, especially in a small trim saw. User freindly in trim saws should be the most important factor. Thats the main reason the 026/260 have remained so popular for so many years, its a very easy saw to manage. The 346 handles just as well but adds more zip at the chain. It explodes to top RPM in a flash. I don't care what name is on the saw, if it does what its meant to do and does it well I like it. The 346 does its intended job very very well. My only complaint is that grey sprocket cover. I think the saw would look prettier if that cover was orange like the rest of the saw. Picky, me, of course not,LOLOL

Yup the 372 was messed up when I got it. I removed the oil pump and found the problem long ago. The hole in the case where the oil hose seats is drilled wrong, its at a bevel on the botton of the hole and the hose can't seal to that bevel, its leaks more setting than when in use. At first it ticked me off but now I merely put it away with a empty oil tank, problem solved on the cheap I say. That saw runs good, always has. The guy using it yesterday comes up and tells me this saw runs great. I said yeah it does, now stop talking, keep sawing,LOL

Only comment is that :agree2:, also on the 026/260 - I always liked it.....:)

The 5100S may outcut the NE346xp slightly in larger wood - but the handling and trigger response can't compete at all - feels more like a 361 in handling, and then it loose big-time in the cut, and again in the trigger response.....

ST,

I won't point you to a 125 page and ask you to read it to get the answer. Yes, I counted the pages. To refresh your memory, Tommie knew not where to take his leaky Husky. So, Joat tried to help ole Tommie.

Tommie,

Great news for ya ole boy. Maybe we can get that Husky working after all. Now here's where ya need to take the Mr. leaky.

VIKING SEWING GALLERY-STERLING
46301 POTOMAC RUN PLAZA
INSIDE JOANN FABRICS
STERLING, VA 20164

(571) 434-7535

Tommie, it's only 9.81 miles from the store. I called and they said to bring a "swatch" or "fabric sample" when you come.

Now, I can't take credit. I followed Mule's link and found this.

This outta needle someone,

Joat

Ole Tommie inquired and as we can see, as usual, Joat was of absolutely no help.

I think we're all finally in agreement here!

Class dismissed,

Joat
Well Joat no luck. I called the place and they asked what model sewing machine it was. I said 372. They said they won't take those models in the building, they leak too much oil,:hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange:

Welp can't argue with any of that for I tried the 361 and 5100 for many many cuts yesterday in the log pile. Course now the 5100 should not outcut a 361, its lacking several CC's. For a 50cc saw it is one mean little saw. I'm with ya on the 346 and 5100 in larger wood, the 5100 has a tad more grunt, not a bunch but some. Up in the limbs where handling rules over power the 346 gets my nod...

Tommie,

Have no fear. I can dig up dirt on the opponent. What I lack finding, I'll make up on my own.

Oh, I have your cabinet ready:

Secretary of Agriculture - Ole Farmerbuck

Secretary of Commerce - Brad Snelling

Secretary of Defense - Treeco

Secretary of Education - Teacherman

Secretary of Energy - Hoss

Secretary of Health and Human Services - RiverRat

Secretary of Homeland Security - Steve (Ultra)

Secretary of Housing and Urban Development - SawinRedNeck

Secretary of Interior - Lead (PlantBiologist)

Secretary of Labor - Rope

Secretary of State - Mow Diddley

Secretary of Transportation - Talon

Secretary of Treasury - Joat, followed by Woodie

Secretary of Veterans Affairs - Gary

Attorney General - Rocket Donkey

Ready to roll,

Joat

PS: Tommie. As we discussed, I'll loot the Treasury and buy the South Pacific Island with all the trimmings. Yes, we'll grow and roast Folgers right on the island. Then you appoint Woodie and he'll take the fall.

Joat

Welcome to the site. Don't fall to the 361 club though. It's not as good as they say.

That's for sure....go straight for the 660!!!!

Or pass that up and get the 372 xp worked for me!

I suggest the 441!

Thanks for the suggestions guys, I happened across a nice looking 031 AV this morning for $200. Even has a new 20"bar & chain to get me started. Now I just need to get caught up on filling my firewood racks. But I'm wondering if I should opt for a shorter bar & more aggressive chain for it. And I found a relatively new Stihl dealer within 4 miles of me, which is amazing considering where I live.:)
