So where do I pick up the new 660 I won for this contest? :chainsaw:

I barely read the chainsaw forum anymore as it's almost too much to keep up with! I try to read the climbing and firewood, pictures etc. though. Lambert just posted just about a month or so ago again?
The first few years were pretty entertaining because it was easier to keep up and a little more lax on the laws:spam:

OK, where's my saw????????

I nominate HUSKYMAN as the oldest reasonably active one, closely followed by FISH!:clap:

If we go by person, and not user name, I suspect the oldest really active one actually is John Lambert.........

Not trying to split hairs, I joined a little earlier because of the relation with
Lawnsite, if there was one.

But he pretty much led the exodus from that other forum to here...

And there is not one placque in that city in his name.........

One of the first things I did after I got my first computer was to look for chainsaw info. I found this arborist message board that had just started. It was just what a chainsaw collector needed. I'm kinda a quiet guy, so my post total is really low for being a member for 8 years. I don't get into the short replies back and forth, just like I don't care to send many text messages. I mostly use the site to keep in touch with collectors who have similar interests as me, and to keep track of the local gtg's and races, and to promote my gtg at the Badger steam and gas engine show in Baraboo WI. I'm looking everyday, AS is my homepage, but I let the other guys take care of all the answers now.
Darin had a great idea, I think it has been a headache for him at times, but I'd like to thank him for maintaining such a great board.
Scott
P.S. I still use my first computer, a 2001 imac, of course it is modified as far as it will go!

That's pretty much how I'd found this place. I was a member of Doug Mellor's BBS over on arborist.com along some of the other old-time members from here. Then the domain was sold to a Canadian holdings company, so I searched for another forum and found this one.

I've had a few negatives, my question is, would they just subtract the greens????

Or could you get a bunch of reds, and red novas to contrast with the others?

You guys give me some red ones, let's see.

Yep your a hair splitter. Who could forget about the great Garden Web scandal that lead to everyone coming here. Something about roses started it all...

I've been around long enough to remember the rise and fall of Dan Henry, Doug Babcock, Art Martin as a regular poster, Gypo and his 357 'Sno Pro', Dennis Cahoon tearing up the forum daily, and God knows what else.

I think my first post was me scrounging for an 045 piston and cylinder. Six years later I have 4 045s, 3 056s and boxes of parts. And a bunch of Homelites.

Chris B.

There are some names that went down in flames. I wonder if Babcock even cuts wood anymore with that Ken Dunn 3120 he bought. I miss Dennis and Gypo. Not sure what happened to Dan, I bought a couple Jonsereds from him that I still use, I missed that scandal lol.

Boooo

Hey,where's Llamabert....

and full moon Cahoon..

Greffard

or Babcock

????

Well, the former is stuck in the muskeg, but a shell of his former self......

at least he ain't runnin' around butt nekkid,, save for a 372--that later came into my possession, which I had to promptly hose down.....

Did you get that 372 from the police impound, along with a case of hand sanitizer?
