Aside from the fact that the ad says the seller no longer needs the saw because of health reasons, the thing I got the biggest kick out of was that he said the saw oils perfectly. Yeah, it positively GUSHES oil!

And how about that ebay 100 percent seller rating? :monkey:

From the ebay ad:

I suppose there is an off chance that there actually are two Echo 8000 saws for saw in Hickory, and that BOTH owners use commas to the exclusion of all other punctuation. So, in trying to give the benefit of the doubt . . .

Yes I noticed that, was the first thing I thought of. All those commas.

Bryce has brand new Echo 8000 crankcases here: New 8000 Crankcase

Seems like a cheap fix?

It would be at about $85.00 shipped.

Heck, I have a good used one I'll sell him for $30.00 shipped, if he'll promise in writting not to start a nasty thread about me wherein he abuses commas! LOL

Mr. HE:cool:

The $200.00 loss included shipping and the additional parts(bar, etc.) that were purchased specifically for that saw.

Drama only works if the audience can keep up with the plot, so for future reference:

1. Limit the total number of threads to one.

2. ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,=WTF

3. Spill the beans early, it is the clean up we care about.

4. Photos, lots of them. Might be a good idea to photograph the actual issue.

5. Due not list it on EBay while complaining.

6. If you choose to list it on EBay, do so in a manner that describes the issue that you are complaining about so that you retain some sort of credibility.

7. DO NOT BUY USED THINGS THAT YOU CANNOT AFFORD TO BUY.

8. PEOPLE THAT SELL THINGS MAKE MISTAKES, LIE, AND CHEAT.

9. SO DO PEOPLE THAT BUY THINGS.

10. IT happens. Get over it, the faster the better.

I dont buy used saws without touching and feeling and fondeling them first. hell even holding them and starting them can be a little risky you never truly know untill you get it home and use it a while.

When i bought my 660 i was worried as hell untill i ran a few tanks through it.

The BIGGEST question is:

What is with the pics and avaaatttaaaars of luscious women???????

Have we been invaded by teenagers???????

Not that I mind the pics, I could always post my pic of the volleyball game
at the reunion again if I have to............

The gals always win.........

I bought some parts from bob a while back and there were/are no issues with the transaction...just saying

Health problems? Sounds more like mental problems...

Ive always tried to conduct myself in a professional manner no matter where. I had not seen the Ebay listing and a big thanks to JJ for that. Im not going to pass judgment on Scott's character, it appears that he has done that for himself. In retrospect, I dont believe there was anything wrong with the saw now or then.

I had offered to accept the saw back and refund the buyers money, but now he has written and says he wants to keep it?

Thanks for all the help,
Bob
