Just woke up and I see this, it's absolutely awful!!!!! The colors are so light it's hard to see what's what, and it actually makes my eyes hurt, and yes the big gray bars are awful, absolutely awful.

Well, I for one don't like this newisch style AS. I am for change if it's an improvement, but this thing is ten steps backwards, and have no intention to get acquainted to it. It was big fun untill now because I liked many posters here, as well as the format. The new colors look really gay if you ask me.

I think I am done with AS for a while.

Bleak..........AND Confusing........AND...Just Plain Wierd!!!!!

This is a very confusing format...the colors must have been selected by someone with overly sensitive eye sight.......rather poor IMHO....The rep thing sucks..we've gone from a somewhat creative, artistic system..(read HUMAN!!) to just another numbercratic, digital score card.

Wildman...try shifting your screen to 125%..it moved me to at least a full screen without the gray sidebars.

If we are voting...I say thumbs down.

I'm sure this new setup saves a fair amount of web space. Which is probably why.

Before...when you came back on all the threads that were posted since your last visit were with bold headers so you knew where to stop going backin time. Does any know how that works now??? Or if it even does?????

I mean I got to admit it takes a few minutes to figure out where everything is but someone had to work at this. I wonder what improvement was made in areas we may not see. Maybe better spam guards etc. I really wish we had quasars for million of rep lol but really it is all there just changed in locations a bit. Maybe someone can tell the positive side of these changes; at first I was dumbfounded but I have figured most of it out. I had to set my brightness down a tad!

Wildman are you on windows?? If so the bottom right hand corner of your browser the is a + sign with 100% click that up one setting. there are 100%, 125% and 150% settings. This won't solve all the sizing peoblems and creates a couple others but does get rid of the stupid sidebars...at least for me.....Good luck...

All that is doing is zooming in or out. and your not gaining anything. Guys like myself with larger monitors and higher resolution can see alot of web page on the screen cause of higher resolutions and real estate. The site needs to be formatted correctly and not just zoomed in to get rid of the grey bars. The zooming just makes it look worse and you cannot see anymore.

OK I see what you mean. I dont use internet explorer as I use firefox. The 125% you speak of is kinda the same thing as using the CTRL key and the + key

Lol It is different I think some of these issues may get fixed I don't know why but my screen stayed clear when I zoomed They will prolly fix it and tomorrow I will have to change back lol
